To enrich the education of every child and support the educators who guide them.

Opstad Elementary School Parent Teacher Association (PTA) strives to support and advocate for children by being strong partners dedicated to enriching the learning and social experiences of all Opstad students, families, and educators.

We do this by:

• Serving as a powerful, united voice for all children.
• Being joint partners in our children’s learning.
• Encouraging a strong, welcoming school environment that recognizes and values diversity, and where students can excel, be safe, and feel confident in themselves.
• Providing equitable curriculum enhancement opportunities for every student no matter their age, culture, economic status, educational background, ethnicity, gender, legal status, mental ability, national origin, physical ability, political philosophy, race, religion, sexual orientation, or life experience.
• Bringing together parents/guardians, teachers, students, and our community to build school spirit and encourage camaraderie.
• Sponsoring and funding programs and providing educator grants and support.
• Recruiting and mentoring volunteers to deepen our school community’s engagement.
• Valuing collaboration with Opstad teachers and staff.
• Being accountable to our mission and principles upon which our association was founded.
